So Fly (Ft. The Alexanders)

This video was done for Father's Day at IMPACT Church. We headed out to Charlie Brown Airport here in Atlanta, GA to film the interviews. When I first got the assignment, I thought it would be a cool project. But when we actually sat in on the story, it was so inspirational that I felt like this video had to turn out amazing, because the story is just that... AMAZING.

The Alexanders started the ACE program, The Aviation Career Enrichment weekend flight academy. This program launched in 1980 and is still going strong. Many of the African American pilots that are flying today, have gone through this program and crossed paths with the aviation legend, Julius Alexander.

Not only does Mr. Alexander teach aspiring pilots how to fly, but he taught his son and his grandson how to fly as well!!! Now how cool is that? Check out the video.

African American Dance Review 2010

The African American Dance Review Season II production (The Progressive Realization of Dreams) ran from January 28-31, 2010 and February 4-6, 2010 at the historic Rialto Center for the Arts - Georgia State University in Atlanta.

The production consisted of approximately 12 performances (or scenes) and covered multiple genres of African American dance. This show is truely something that you have to see for yourself. KRJ Productions was charged with capturing this electrifying show for final output on DVD. We filmed 3 shows, and took the best of the 3 shows and edited the show down to one master show.

The dancers are amazingly talented and the producers were on point with every aspect of the performance. Shout out to Hipnotik Productions for providing the voice over and music for this trailer.

Sol-Fusion "Hollyween Edition"

The night before Halloween, Sol-Fusion and Coors Light put together a memorable event. This was a hilarious party at STRIP in Atlantic Station. But what made the party easy to edit was the amount of people that dressed in costume and really came to party. Mary J Blidge, Sho-Nuff (The Last Dragon), Jerome, Otis, Cat Woman, Mike Vick and his Dog, Jermaine Jackson, Penny from Good Times, and Austin Powers, just a name a few, were in the building. Peep the vid, it is hella funny.

Peace

KRJ Productions joins the fight!

Last month, KRJ Productions proudly supported Breast Cancer Research as the official videographers for Triple Pink Foundation's We Want a Cure Wii Game Tournament.

Triple Pink was created to increase awareness about triple negative breast cancers, one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer. This type of breast cancer primarily affects young women under the age of 40. However, African-American women appear to be disproportionately affected.

The event was held at Straits Restaurant in Midtown Atlanta. Lots of supporters came out for music, food and of course, to get their game on with the Wii!! There was also a silent auction and a raffle for two round-trip AirTran airline tickets to anywhere in the continental US.

Video coming soon!!!!

Tribute to the King of Pop

Last month we covered an MJ Tribute at Opera Atlanta. The event was pretty tight, complete with live paintings of MJ by some of ATL's dopest artists: Fabian Williams and Fahamu Pecou. Kemit, Salah, and Applejack kept the party people dancing.

What I did with the video was take some old MJ footage from VHS, convert it to digital and throw some filters on it to alter the image a bit. For example, the young lady mentioned Michael moonwalking on Motown 25, so just by chance I had that footage. I cut it in as she is talking about moonwalk then BAAAM!

Sooo, if you have old VHS footage, family videos, or your wedding, just remember, KRJ Productions can convert your video to whatever format you need, just email info@krjproductions.com for video conversion rates. Peep the vid, and comment please.

Awesome Client Feedback!!!

Every now and then we receive a thank you letter from our clients, however this one blew me away. It makes me very proud to have our videos make an impact on someone's life.

We received a call from Ms. Huff at Kennedy Middle School about producing a video for her school's Fight Against Youth Violence project. The cool thing about this video project is the students did all the filming. All we had to do is edit the video and prepare it for submission.

Well, I am pleased to say, these students won FIRST PLACE!!!! Check out the wonderful letter we received from Ms. Huff, and be sure to tell a friend about KRJ Productions.

Cydney's 1st Birthday!!!

This was the most elaborate 1st birthday party ever! There was so much fun packed into the Clara Meer Dock at Piedmont Park last weekend. Cydney Pace was the lucky young lady with a whole bunch of friends and family to share her special day with.

The adults and the children had plenty to get into at this party. Michelle and her team with Lemiga Events really put together a masterpiece full of details sure to leave an impression on guests. Some of the entertainment included: photo booth, Nintendo Wii, a caricature artist, arts and crafts (the kids got to make Cydney personalized birthday cards!), build a bear, Bubbleman, a magician, and a HUGE bouncer that sat right on the dock.

Okay, enough talking, just check out the video... Isn't she lovely?
